Jimmy Lee, 68, of Savannah, Ga, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
He was born on February 2nd, 1954 to Robert F. Lee Jr. and Betty Lee in Savannah, Ga. He was a carpenter for 50 years and was a member of the carpenters union. Throughout his career he was responsible for the restoration and remodeling of many historic homes in downtown Savannah and he was very proud of his work. He enjoyed fishing and boating in his free time. He was a talented musician and composed a song in his late brother, Larry’s memory. He was an animal lover and was especially devoted to his cat.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Lee Jr., and his brother Larry Lee.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Joseph Lee and Joseph’s wife Sarai Garcia; mother, Betty Lee; and siblings, Jerry Lee and Brenda Yancey; and numerous other relatives.
The memorial will be held privately.

Condolences for the family of “Jimmy Lee”
Has known Jimmy since first grade. We hung out all through our young teen and early 20s. We experienced great times together in our young life. I stopped by for a visit earlier in the year and we had a very good time. We parted company with a handshake and a man hug
I have known Jimmy my entire life. He was good neighborhood friends of my brothers. My deepest condolences to his beautiful Mother and his entire family and close friends.
My brothers Bobby & Jimmy Sturgess were very good friends with Jimmy when they were younger. He kept me up to date with his own health issues after my brother Bobby passed with Covid. Prayers for peace for his family especially his mother. 🙏🏻
Jimmy was a good friend since the 60’s. I got to talk with him Friday. We grew up together in the same neighborhood. You will be greatly missed my brother. My condolences to Mrs.Lee, Jerry and Brenda and to all the relatives and friends. ❤
I have know Jimmy since I was about 15 and have some very fond memories of the good times we had. I loved his laugh and sense of humor! He did some carpentry work for us 3 years ago and we were able to catch up with each other. My condolences to the family. He will be missed.

I’ve known Jimmy Lee since 79, I met him thru Danny West and John Kennedy. Good guy, alway fun to be around.
He will be missed by many.

My uncle was quirky. But a good fella. His laugh was either uncomfortable or passive aggressive. Not a man of to many words. Looked down on himself and how others looked on him. His love was Joey.
