Joanne Shu Davis, age 73, of Bloomingdale, entered into eternal sleep Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 at her residence.
A native of Taiwan, she was the daughter of Cheng Ya Su and Fan Ya Lan. Mrs. Davis was an avid cook and baker for 45 years. She attended the Alpha United Methodist church and was involved in many organizations such as the VFW, NCOA, AARP, AAA and Woodman of the World. She was a loving wife and soul mate for 42 years, mother, grandmother and best friend to many. Her children considered her their best friend and someone they could always go to for advice or just someone who could listen when they needed someone to talk to. She was a role model and hero to her grandkids.
Survivors include husband, Eddie Davis, son and daughter, Alfred (Yachiyo) and Victoria (Wayne) Davis, granddaughters, Lisa and Emily Davis, Brandy and Katherine Coleman, grandsons, Joey and Sean Davis, sister, Shirley Mingo and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of Family and Friends for visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Families First Funeral Care Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Families First Funeral Care on Wednesday, November 5th at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park- West in Savannah, Georgia .
