John M. Pringle

John Mark Pringle passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2015, from complications associated with his long battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer.  Born December 7, 1928, in Georgetown, Illinois, he was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Junita (Jones) Pringle, a brother, William Pringle, and a sister, Marilyn Collom.

John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia E. (Lynch) Pringle (Bluffton, SC), his son, Randy Pringle (Janice) and a granddaughter, Kaylee Pringle, in Fairfield, Iowa.
 
John served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean War. A graduate of General Motors Institute of Technology (Kettering University) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering much of his career was in the iron foundry industry where he held various positions in Engineering and Sales Management. In 1985 he retired as Vice President of Marketing. John enjoyed golfing, fishing and visiting new places, friends, and family.
 
The family wishes to thank Dr. Gary Thomas and his staff at the St. Joseph’s Cancer Center at Hilton Head for extending the time and quality of John’s life. We also wish to thank the doctors, nurses, therapists, and other staff at Hilton Head Hospital, Life Care Center of Hilton Head, and St. Luke Missionary Hospice for their kind and professional services.
 
Services will be held at Bonaventure Funeral Home, 2520 Bonaventure Rd in Savannah, GA 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah immediately following the service. Pallbearers are Steven Anderson, Chris Lynch, Neil Beebe, Derek Lynch, Daniel Lynch, and David Dickey.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given in John’s name to St. Luke Missionary Hospice, 149 Riverwalk Blvd Suite 6., Ridgeland, SC 29936.
