John M. Watts, Jr. “Johnny”

Posted By Kyle Nikola On December 14, 2021 @ 11:55 am In Obituaries | 2 Comments

Passed peacefully surrounded by family St Joseph’s Hospital on December 9th, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Watts, Sr. & Betty George, and three granddaughters Kandi, Sierra & Serenity.

He is survived by his daughter Crystal Csatlos, his grandchildren Joshua, Jacob & Brittney, his sister Lynn, his two brothers Duane & Gerald and numerous nieces and nephews.

He lived his life to the beat of his own drum, full of laughter, & wild stories. His proudest accomplishment is his daughter Crystal. He served his country in the United States Army briefly and charted a career of painting until an aneurysm made him retire in his early 30’s. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. He invested a lot of time with the Savannah Chapter of the Moose Lodge and loved being a part of all their celebrations. He had an amazing sense of humor that rubbed off on anyone that was near him. No one was upset long around him. He grew up in the Savannah area and considered himself a city boy. I had the honor of caring for my dad over the course of the last year. He wasn’t ready to leave but, his body needed the rest. To me he was the light of my life and I am grateful that I was able to share each day with him. I am blessed to call him Dad. You are gone but never forgotten. Until we meet again daddy, I love you endlessly.

-Crystal

Love those smiles. You always had a quip or a joke for everything. Witty til the end. And always with the “sweetie”. Never a bad word for anyone unless they were the opposing sports team. Go Bulldogs! Thank you for being my sisters’ daddy and also for just being you. I was blessed to know you. Rest easy, Johnny. I know you will be watching over my sister and your grandchildren.
