Joyce Mitchell Hamilton, wife of Alfred Euley Hamilton, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on January 7, 2015.
Joyce was born August 29, 1949 in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Sophronia M. Tompkins High School in 1967. A resident of West Savannah and Millen Street, she was head majorette for Tompkins High School marching band in her senior year. She attended Savannah State College. She worked in the medical profession in different administrative capacities for over twenty five years and retired in 1998 from Kaiser Permanente. She was a nature enthusiast that loved flowers and the beauty of nature. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.
She was a member of St James United Methodist Church of Kansas City, Missouri and Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Church in Nashville, Tennessee and also attended Lake Providence Baptist Church in Nashville and Sharon United Methodist Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia
She is survived by her husband: Alfred Hamilton, married 46 years, Son, Alfred Hamilton Jr. and wife Amber, Son, Andre Hamilton and Grandson DeAundre Hamilton, Mother Lorene Mitchell, Brother, George Mitchell (Joann), Sister Yvonne Bryant (Rufus), Jacquelyn Mitchell , Elizabeth Hayes, and many nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law, Warren (Linda), Greig (Adria), Gary (Chris), and Jamaal (Marian).

Joyce was an amazing woman i will cherish her in my heart forever and happy to have had her in my life and able to make her a grandmother.
