Judith Joy Wiggins (Judy)

Judith Joy Wiggins(Judy), 77, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus on July 1, 2026.

Born on May 9, 1949, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Julius Wiggins and Grace Wiggins. She spent her life in Savannah, where she was known for her strong spirit, fierce independence, and determination. Judy was never afraid to speak her mind and always liked things done her own way. Those who knew her understood that her stubbornness was simply part of what made her uniquely herself.

Beneath her strong exterior was a loving heart devoted to her family. She cherished the people she loved and treasured the time spent with them.

Judy also had a deep love for animals and rarely went without a loyal four-legged furry companion by her side. Her pets brought her great comfort and joy throughout her life.

Judy will be remembered for her resilience, her unwavering spirit, her love for animals, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her first cousins, David Lee Liggett Jr. and his wife, Celeste Liggett, and Karen Liggett Thornburg and her husband, Jeffrey Thornburg, as well as many second and third cousins who will cherish her memory.

Though she is no longer with us, Judy’s independent spirit, love for her family, and compassionate heart will live on in the memories of those whose lives she touched.

Judy’s memory will be commemorated in a private family gathering.
