Julie Marie Gladin went to be with our Almighty God on Monday, May 20th, 2019 in Hinesville Ga.
She was born on June 25th 1967 in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota and later moved to Savannah, Georgia where she graduated high school at Sol C. Johnson in 1985. After high school she continued her education at Belmont Abbey College where she graduated with a B.A. degree in business, and moved back to Savannah, GA. Julie was hired right out of college, by Mr. Walter Corish, at Corish and Company Insurance Agency in Savannah where she continued to work for 25 years. Julie admired Mr. Corish, who was an excellent and kind boss through her time working for him and beyond. She also cherished her personal relationships with her customers. She was a communicant of Saint Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and would often visit Compassion Christian Church with her Daughter, Katey. Her family was the light of her life, and the subject she loved to talk about the most.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Joan Harper Richards, father, Robert Richards, her biological father, Eugene Johnson, her grandma Kay, and other loving Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joel D. Gladin Jr. of 26 years. They were introduced by a mutual friend in 1990 and had an immediate connection like no other. She is also survived by her only child Katey Jo Gladin, who was her world.
She is also survived by her brother, Collin Richards, mother, Nancy Richards, several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and loads of cousins.
Julie saw the best outlook on life every day and always kept a positive attitude. She had a beautiful, bright, contagious smile. Julie will be lovingly missed by all.
Her graveside service will be held 11:30 AM on Thursday May 30th, 2019 at Forrest Lawn Cemetery. A reception is to follow at her mother’s home in Guyton GA. Anyone may receive the address by contacting her daughter, Katey or another family member.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for a donation be made to Saint Jude’s Children hospital, or The Humane Society for Greater Savannah because of the love Julie had for both children and animals. Links to both of these organizations are provided below.

I am so very sorry for the families loss. I went to school in Bryan County with Julie. She was always happy and laughing. She has definitely gone to heaven.
I am so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Julie’s passing…she was such a kind and generous lady…she will truly be missed…my deepest love and prayers go out to her family.
I am so sorry to the family and close friends of Julie. I was honored knowing her through her Mother Nancy, however, over the past few years Julie and I became “praying buddies”. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you! ????❤️
Thank you for loving all of us crazy friends of Katey Jo! You took us in like we were your own. You always knew how to make us laugh a lot and kept a smile on our faces. You will truly be missed and we all promise to take the best care of Katey for you.

Katey and Joel, so sorry to hear of Julie’s passing. She was a sweet, warm, kind lady. Prayers to you both and may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and May perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Katey and family, I am so sorry for your loss of a precious wife, mom, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend.
I regret not getting to meet her but so plan to one day in Heaven.

Julie and I were suite-mates for 3.5 years in college. She was a terrific friend and we shared many laughs. We traveled to the beach and Partied on River Street on St. Patrick’s Day each year during college and several years after.Julie was always making me laugh. Whenever we talked it was if we would just pick up where we left off. Our family adores Joey and Katey. Forever friends. May God bless you. My heart is broken. Marie
Dear Joey and Katey, I was so sorry to hear about Julie. I know she was so precious to you both. I hope that you can find peace in knowing how much she loved you both. I know it is a very sad time for you both. My thoughts and prayer are with you.
