Kathleen “Kathie” Patricia Misek, 71, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on February 8, 2025.
Born on April 10, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, Kathie was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Misek (February 2, 2025), and her parents Phillip and Marjorie Lewis.
Kathie is survived by daughters Kelly Wagner (Gaither), and Cynthia M. Milligan (Misek), and her husband Craig. A proud and loving grandmother to grandsons Blake and Aydn Wagner; granddaughters Caitlyn and Cara Milligan and great-grandson Oakley. Along with many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Anyone who knew her knew she received most of her happiness in life from giving and doing for others. She loved spending time with her family, reading, quilting, knitting and crocheting, and shopping at estate sales. She had a deep love for animals and nature, especially the ocean. Her last wishes will be honored and she will be placed in an eternal reef, off the coast of Ocean City, MD. As a permanent living legacy helping to preserve and protect the marine environment for the benefit of future generations.
A service will be announced and held at a later date.
In place of flowers, please donate to an animal shelter or ocean preservation organization near you.

Just a wonderful person, so caring and upbeat. Will never forget her kindness, last year when I had a stroke she cooked and prepared two weeks of meals and brought them to me.

Kathy was such a dear friend to everyone at St. Michael Church

I will forever remember what a kind and giving person Kathie was. She adopted one of the kitties that we rescued named Ray and I just knew he was going to be happy! Her sweetness will always be remembered.

I met Ms. Kathie at a crochet/knitting group and we loved talking all things crafts and art. We would share and discuss current projects and ideas for new ones. While the group didn’t last, our friendship did! She was such a kind and sweet person. I am so glad I met Ms. Kathie. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family.
