Lacresha Ann Dowd

November 7, 1977 – September 30, 2020

Lacresha Ann Dowd went to rest peacefully in Heaven on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, after her battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, while in the care of Hospice Savannah and her loved ones. She was just 42 years young.

She was born on November 7, 1977, in Savannah, Ga, and loved by so many. Her mother Leticia Ann Shearouse, her father Michael Dowd, as well as her grandmother Patricia Dowd, live on to tell the stories of her life.

Lacresha’s greatest accomplishment in life was her son Dezmond Hill who has been close to his mother’s side through it all. Followed by daughter-in-law Angela Thompson and grandsons Dominic and Noah. She was the firstborn out of her and her three sisters; Connie Dowd, Christy Hanes, and Nisa Judd. She found her life partner Tracey Gillis and step-son Zac Gillis 20 years ago, who loved her dearly.

Lacresha enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fishing and relaxing on the dock. She loved making people laugh, dancing, and spoiling her fur baby, Molly.
She will be reunited in Heaven with her grandfather, Talmadge Dowd, grandmother Patty McCumber, stepfather Charles B. Shearouse, and nephew, Kyle Bachman.

A service to celebrate the life of Lacresha Ann Dowd will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at 3 pm in L Scott Stell Park, 195 Scott Stell Road Savannah, Ga 31419.
