Lillian Kennedy Ellzey

Lillian Kennedy Ellzey, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022, at Spanish Oaks Hospice in
Savannah, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gene Ellzey, and her son-in-law, David LeFevre.
Lillian was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church and while she was still able she was
active in the Faithful Sunday School class and senior activities.
Lillian was born on September 14, 1932, in Bulloch County, GA to the late Robert and Geneva Kennedy.
Lillian retired from Union Camp in 1991 where she worked as a buyer’s assistant in the purchasing
department. After retirement Lillian and Gene were active in the Windsor Forest Senior Center and
enjoyed bowling, playing dominos and cards, and traveling with friends.
She is survived by 5 children, Robert Ellzey, Jonnette (Cliff) Carter of Three Way, TN, Caryn LeFevre,
Mandy (Jay) Stansell of Bulloch County, GA, and Laura (Terry) Laseter of Okatie, SC; 11 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Betty Callaway, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family of Lillian wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Diane Knight and the
nurses and staff at Spanish Oaks Retreat and Spanish Oaks Hospice for their compassionate care and
support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm on Monday, October 10 at Grace United Methodist
Church. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm with Rev. Steve Purnell officiating.

31406.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will Always cherish the memories of Mrs. Ellzey and the years growing up. She was practically a 2nd mom to me and for that I am truly grateful. Prayers and Lots of Love across the miles during this time and the days ahead.
