Lois Bryant, 84, born April 25, 1939, in Hinesville, GA., to Willie & Anna Walker, died at home Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Eden, GA., where she lived with her husband for 42 years.
Prior to living in Eden, she lived in Savannah for many years.
She and her husband, Matthew, enjoyed trucking in a big rig all around the U.S. for several years, and after that, she had a lot of fun selling fish and shrimp, known as the “shrimp-lady.” She loved heading shrimp and getting
everything ready for her loyal customers.
Lois is survived by her husband Matthew N. Bryant, Jr., her devoted daughter, Saundra Dunn and son-in-law Paul, Jeff, Nancy, Jan, Matthew III, Pam, Annette, grandson Daniel & great-grands Connor & Hayden; granddaughters, Nikki & great-grand Ascher; Brandi & great-grands Blake, Ragen & Josh; Jesse & great-grand Tyberius; grandsons Fred III & Christopher; William & Mattie; sisters, Mildred & brother-in-law Alan, Myrtle, Mary, Rita and brother Douglas, as well as several nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her sons, Fred J. Branch, Tommy W. Branch; sisters, Opal, Rosa, Ritha, Pauline, Josephine, Molly; brothers, Freeman, Roy, Arthur, Roland, Noland, Doland, Doc, and Bud.
A funeral service will be taking place on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Families First Funeral Care Chapel, 1328 Dean Forest Rd. Savannah, GA., 31405, followed by internment at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
