It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lugene Hanson Fogle Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and cherished member of the Savannah, Georgia community. Lugene passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on Thursday, November 24, 1938, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Lugene was the beloved son of the late Charles Fogle and Virginia Fogle. He was raised with love and strong values, which remained a guiding force throughout his life.
Lugene proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his military service, he dedicated his professional career to the HVAC industry, where his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic earned the respect of many. Lugene was not only a skilled professional but also a friend and mentor to those fortunate enough to work alongside him.
Lugene made his home in Savannah, Georgia, where he became an integral part of the community. He was known for his warm smile, generous heart, friendly nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand. His kindness and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lugene was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Virginia Fogle; and his son, Lugene Hanson Fogle Jr. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, dedication, and friendship that will continue through the lives of those he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Fogle; his children, Steve Fogle and Stephanie Blanchard; his three granddaughters, Jordan Able, Jenna Bowles, and Brooke Zieran; several great-grandchildren; and his brother, David Fogle.
Lugene Hanson Fogle Sr. will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, former colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Lugene. Your life was a gift, your memory a treasure, and you will be forever missed.

Mike was a sweet sole, who came to our house, when we had AC issues, without a second thought. We chatted about the good times, laughed, & had a beer.
