PORT WENTWORTH -Luther B. Mears, Jr., 58, went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 4:51 PM at Hospice Savannah.
He was retired from Great Dane Trailers and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Bessie Mears, and is survived by his two sons, Stephen (Mariana) Mears and Christopher Mears; his grandson Stephen Mears; former wife Sheila Mears; and his siblings, Ralph (Janice) Mears, Donna (Scott) Latham, Susan (Ricky) Chester, Amy (Kirk) Mears, and twin sister Mary “Midge” Mears.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Families First Funeral Care with Graveside Services to follow at 11:30 A.M. in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, East, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice Savannah.

My heart goes out to the Mears Family! My brother Zip and myself grew up with the whole family . They were a wonderful bunch of people ! But they also had two fabulous parents !
