Lynn Marie Simmons, age 48, of Pooler, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014 at her home.
A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, she was the daughter of Edward Rea and JoAnn Fitzpatrick. Lynn loved her family and friends, University of Michigan football, and playing golf on Sundays (her form of church.)
Survivors include her husband, James P. Simmons, Jr. of Pooler; a son, Joseph Russo (Sara) of Macomb, Michigan; two brothers, Edward Rea (Jennifer) and Jeff Fitzpatrick, both of Warren, Michigan; her sister, Debrah Jackson (Bob) of Chesterfield, Michigan; niece & nephew, Samantha and Michael Rea of Warren, Michigan, and nieces Stevie of Chesterfield, Michigan & Mackenzie Jackson of Flint, Michigan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Families First Funeral Care with Funeral Services to follow at 5:00 PM.
Additional services will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Funeral Home in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Services to follow at 7:00 PM.

I have very fond memories of hanging out with the Rea,and fitspatrick family as a teen.It was like my second home.All though I have not kept in touch with the family,they are always in my thoughts and prayers.I am proud to have called Lynn my friend,and she will sadly be missed.She was always smiling and laughing,RIP Lynn.
