Makisha Adriena “Kisha” Keel was born December 31, 1973 to Debra Keel Porter and Jimmy Smart Jr. , who preceded her in death. She was educated in Savannah Chatham County Public School System. “Kisha” as she was affectionally called was loved by those who came in contact with her, to know her was to love her.
Kisha accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age and was baptized at St. Luke Baptist Church. She joined Beth Eden Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by a son Alex Quarterman; maternal grandparents Herbert and Edna Keel and a special uncle Harvey Keel.
On Sunday August 07,2016, Kisha passed away surrounded by family from a long illness. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Debra Porter (Mark); daughters, Cuvesha Keel and Dre’Nesha Mason; brothers, Ellis Keel and Wayne Holmes; sisters, Latesha Duncan (Allen) and Sherrie Ellis; grandmother, Ms. Loretta Kearse; aunts Linda S. Jones, Vivian Smart, Cheryl Ogletree and Mabell B. Keel; uncles Charles Keel, Marvin Keel and Bobby Smalls; godmother, Lorraine Smalls; a special niece Ellisha Outler; a special cousin Tolejala Keel; other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The hardest part of losing someone you love is knowing that you will always have a piece of them inside you and in your heart. I’m truly sorry for your loss. This has really touch my heart. I had no idea this had happened. I’m truly shocked. Mrs. Debra I pray for peace and strength and that God will cover you each and everyday. To her children, I pray that the gap she left in your heart, that the’re filled with joy and happiness with all the memories that you had with your mom “she was a beautiful and special person”.
