Geertje "Margaret" Denhartog Barger, 84, of Savannah, died Saturday morning at her residence.

Margaret was a dutch immigrant born in Rotterdam, Holland.  She escaped Holland during the Hitler regime, married an American serviceman and lived the American Dream.  She was the Owner of Taxi World.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Margaret Victoria Barger and a son, George Daniel Barger, Jr.

Survivors include her son Morris Nicholaas Barger, Houston, Texas, her daughter, Catherine Monroe, Rincon, her sons, Roy Lawrence Barger, Houston, Texas, Leslie Robert Barger, Savannah, Richard Lee Barger, of Savannah, her ex-husband, George Daniel Barger, Sr. 13 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Families First Funeral Care, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA  31405.  A graveside service will be held, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwich Cemetery.
