Mark Steven Kopke was born on November 19th 1959 in Highland Park, Michigan, to parents Sylvester Kopke and Viola Kopke. He was the youngest child of 7 and grew up on Walled Lake, Michigan.
He graduated from Walled Lake Western High School, and attended Georgia Southern University. He went on to work as a Director of Engineering at several hotels. He enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. He was known for his love of music including playing the keyboard while recording himself, playing the harmonica, playing the drums and just jamming out in general. He loved to cook/grill, read books, play solitaire, fishing, gardening, traveling, and watching the 49ers.
He married Rose Kopke in 1982, and together they shared 43 years of love and partnership. He is survived by his wife Rose Kopke, son Steven (Tiffany) Kopke, daughter Kristina (Ryan) Knowles, grandchildren Sophie Kopke, Baya Knowles, Tytan Kopke, Oaklee Knowles and Zadie Knowles, sister Pauline Cady, sister Barb (Hank) Piotrowski and sister Joanne Leep, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday July 11, 2025 at Families First Funeral Care Chapel, located at 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Ga 31405, at 3:00 PM
