Martha Jane Oswald, 93, entered into rest on March 7, 2025.
Born to Tom Hurst and Grace Stenger Beatty Wadford on December 7, 1941, in Caretta, West Virgina, Martha lived a long and full life.
She married her childhood sweetheart Carl Eugene Oswald just two weeks after her 18th birthday. Together, they had three children – Patricia (Danny), MaryGrace (David), and George (Margaret).
Martha loved reading, especially stories that focused on dogs and those that took place in Amish country because they reminded her of home.
She also loved her biscuits and gravy and fish and chips, though she never complained about any meal she didn’t have to make!
Her biggest loves were her grandchildren – Layla (John), Kimberly (Stephen), Nicholas, and Christopher (Katelyn) and her great-grandchildren – Zoey, Tobias, and Michael.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Carl, daughter Patricia and sons-in-law Danny and David.
