It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Ann Davis, Age 80 on
May 23, 2025 in Savannah, Georgia.
Born on Thursday July 6, 1944 in Savannah, Georgia. Mary Ann was a child of God. She loved serving the Lord. Before her illness she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Visiting the sick and delivering meals on wheels. She found joy in prayer. She would visit the sick to comfort them in prayer. While being a member of Central Baptist Church, she loved participating in Church activities and chatting with her girlfriends during lunch outings. She never met a stranger and always was welcoming and friendly. She valued the companionship of her friends.
Mom graduated from Savannah High School in 1963. She had a talent for numbers which resulted in a career of book-keeping and co-owned an auto repair shop with her husband. She ran the front office. Later in life she worked with children at Thunderbolt Elementary School. Then worked at Pryme Time in Marlow Elementary School.
Mary Ann is survived by her children: Albert Gary Jr. “Hokie” (Alisa) Davis of Savannah, Ga., Franklin J Davis Sr. of Savannah,Ga and William K Sr. (Amanda) Davis of Pooler, Ga. Her brother, Billy Bunkley. Her precious grandchildren who referred to her as “Nina”: Reba Lee Davis, Albert Gary Davis III “Bert”, Sean Patrick Davis, William K Davis Jr and Jordan Scarpitti. Nieces, Nephew and Cousins.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents Reba and Franklin Phillips. Her beloved husband of 45 years in marriage, Albert Gary Davis Sr. Her Sister: Brenda F Bunkley and Grandson: Franklin J Davis Jr. and her little best friend “Paris”.
The family would like to give a special thanks to: Hospice of Savannah. Your wisdom and support to her and us meant a great deal.To Ms.Carey McHugh of Riverview for your compassion and kindness in her final months.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 7th 2025 at 11am. At Central Baptist Church 4010 Old Louisville Road Savannah Georgia 31408 We welcome all Family and Friends.
