As a young boy, I spent many summers at my Aunt Iva’s home and have many fond memories growing up with Melissa. She was a cherished cousin who always kept in contact with me over the years. I am thankful we were able to communicate recently and will miss her greatly. May your memories of Melissa replace your sadness. God Bless Melissa, Dave Fullen

I am so sad that I didn’t have the opportunity to meet this wonderful lady. What I do know is she was very much loved by her family and friends. Knowing Laura , and hearing her speak so often of her mom and sister, it is easy to understand why. That gentle warm spirit of genuine goodness must run through those veins. I know this is a sad time and it’s hard to find the light when you are covered in grief. It is my hope that knowing your mom is no longer in pain will comfort your hearts. May the fond memories you hold bring you many smiles throughout the rest of your days. Love always
Christa

I enjoyed my friendship with Melissa over the years, and our friendship was one of the best things that ever happened to me. We could talk for hours on end about all kinds of subjects and never get tired! She was smart, a great cook, an accomplished pianist, a fun person to be around. I will miss our enjoyable visits together. She loved Laura and Elizabeth and her other family members dearly, and loved to share with me all about them. God Bless all of you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Cindy

Dear Family,
I’m so sorry that I will not be able to attend the service for Melissa. I’m in Jacksonville babysitting. How blessed you all were to have her for a Mother, Grandmother, and for all her life roles. She guided me through a tough time in my life. We had many good times times together over the years. I missed her when she moved to Savannah and all the meals she served me. And I loved her.
We will meet again, sweet friend.

Aunt Melissa will always live in our hearts. She will always be remembered as being kind, thoughtful and intelligent. She had more skills than even I knew about as she touched many lives through her music and paintings. She did a fantastic job raising 2 daughters who have many of her wonderful qualities. We are blessed to be part of this family.
