Michael Franklin Owens
September 15, 1952 – April 17, 2025
Michael Franklin Owens, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and servant of God, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Augusta, Georgia, on September 15, 1952, Mike dedicated his life to faith, family, and education.
Mike graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 1975 and went on to pastor two churches in Georgia: one in Pinora and Beth-El Alliance Church in Savannah. He also served as an educator at Bible Baptist School and Hancock Day School, and worked in insurance sales.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Laura; his parents; and grandparents. Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine; sons Robert and Lawrence; granddaughters Madison (Judah), Mia, Peyton, and Natalie; great-grandson Blaze; sisters Donna (Randy) and Karen (Tim); and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM, following a visitation at 12:00 PM, at Bloomingdale Community Church in Bloomingdale, GA.
