Mr. Milas James Griffin Jr was born on November 10, 1957, to the late Mr. Millis
James Griffin, Sr., and the late Mrs. Ruby Lee Griffin, in Savannah, GA. He passed
away on Tuesday, August 8 th , 2023.
He was educated in Chatham County Public Schools. He graduated from Richard
Arnold High School in 1977. Early on in life he was nicknamed “Bubba Shaft”.
He worked as a professional painter for many, many years.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Jocelyn Griffin, parents Millis J. Griffin Sr
and Ruby Lee Griffin, Two sisters Carolyn Mack and Deborah Wolfork -Johnson.
Mr. Milas James Griffin (Bubba) is survived by four sons Andre Jackson Sr., Horatio
Reynolds, James J. Griffin all of Savannah and Demetrius Grant of South Carolina.
He has four daughters Jameka Kirkland, DeAndrea S. Savage, Sharika Singleton
(Jamal) all of Savannah and Manesha G. Thomas (Groover) Atlanta, Ga. and 21
grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is survived by two brothers Michael
Griffin and Clinton Hamilton of Savannah Ga. He has three sisters Gwendolyn
Harris, Beverly Campbell, and Dyneisha Hamilton all of Savannah Ga. Two uncles,
three aunts and host of nephews, nieces, cousins loved ones and friends.
There will be a private memorial service held later.
