Frances Marie Padgett-Frayall

Frances Marie Padgett-Frayall was born on July 24th, 1963 to Napoleon Padgett, Jr. and Marie D. Gray Padgett. She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, she leaves to cherish her memories a son, Sharod Padgett (Tonya), daughter, Geraldine Frayall; sisters, Stephanie P. Pollard, Nancy Padgett Jackson (Alvin) and Nora Padgett Shuman (James). Brothers, Napoleon Padgett, III (Ingrid), Anthony Padgett and Leonard Padgett (Felicia). Two grandchildren, Shamar & Shavarie Padgett. Step-father, Johnny Robinson. Three stepbrothers, 3 stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am from the Fairmount Baptist Church with burial to follow at Magnolia Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the Church for one hour before the service.

Kelly Wilbur Dixon

November 22, 2013 - Leave a Condolence

Kelly Wilbur Dixon of Port Wentworth passed away peacefully on Friday of natural causes at the age of 86. Kelly is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna Dollie Dixon, Daughter, Wanda Rollf, Son, Kelvin Dixon (Debra), Daughter, Elaine Nichol (Ken) and Son, Craig Dixon (Kathi), 12 grandchildren, several great gret grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Foskey and Martha Groover, both of Deland Florida. Originally from Uvalda Georgia, Kelly served in the US Army and settled in Port Wentworth in 1951, where he worked for Union Camp for 40 years. Kelly was an active member of the Port Wentworth Alliance Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School and playing the bass guitar. Visitation will be at the Port Wentworth Alliance Church from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday, November 24th. Funeral Service will be held at the Port Wentworth Alliance Church at 11am on Monday, November 25th, with interment to follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park-West.

Joseph Preston Blount, 27 years old, of Savannah, Georgia departed this life after a short and sudden illness on October 27, 2013. He is survived by his parents Mr. Clinton and Jan Blount, one sister Bethany Chanel Blount, a host of cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and friends. Although he was born with special needs, throughout his life he was a cheerful person. He attended and graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High School in 2007. Joseph loved gospel music and sports. He will be sadly missed by everyone.
