August 4, 1953-May 5, 2018
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and raised by her loving adoptive parents in Savannah, Georgia after losing her own parents at a young age. She worked numerous jobs as a bartender and waitress throughout her adult life, most notably the Waffle House. Known to love a good night out with friends and family dancing and drinking Tequila shots.
Preceded in death by her parents Robert & Shirley Driggers and son, Jonathan Penney, she is survived by her daughters Shannon Leigh Penney (Jeff) and Sally Michelle Penney(Carl); sons, Joey Peny, Allen Austin (Vanessa) and Gary Austin (Theresa); sisters, Peggy Herrin Miller, Brenda Herrin Taylor, Denise Herrin Mason (JC) and Edith Darlene Driggers; brother, William “Billy” Herrin, Jr. (Glenda); 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, Riverside at the Steel Bridge in Guyton, Georgia.
