Patricia June “Judy” McGuffey, 76, passed away on January 26, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so fiercely. Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a proud resident of Savannah, Georgia for the past two decades, Judy filled every place she lived with warmth, humor, and a deep sense of care.
Judy was the cherished daughter of Theron and Catherine Davis. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Shannon Teal; a loving grandmother to Kristen, James, Madison, and Reagan; and a proud great‑grandmother to Grayson, Jace, and Aariya. She poured her heart into each of them, always putting their needs before her own. Every day, her thoughts revolved around her family’s well‑being — checking in, offering support, celebrating milestones, and holding tight to every memory they created together.
She was known for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the way she made everyone feel cared for. Judy’s love for football was legendary in the family — cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, rooting for Alabama, and staying loyal to her Atlanta Falcons through every season. Her enthusiasm brought people together, turning game days into cherished family moments.
Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and countless memories that her family will carry with them always. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her.
A private celebration of her life will be held at the family’s home next Saturday. In honor of Judy’s memory, the family asks that you hold your loved ones close. A simple act she treasured more than anything.

To The Family,
Please Accept My Heartfelt Condolences. Truly the loss of a precious loved one is most difficult. Please find comfort in the promise our most loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God gives us in Revelation 21:4″And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more; neither will mourning; nor outcry; nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Yes, We can look forward to a time soon to come when all suffering including death will be done away with forever. For over 41 years Judy was a second mom to me. When I lost my mom almost 10 years ago…Judy was there for me. Somehow just her listening and understanding what I was going through helped make it a little bit easier to cope. She was always there for me…that just who she was. I miss her terribly but I look forward to the day we are all reunited with our Father in heaven. And knowing that she is in a better place with Jesus and healthy and so happy makes me rejoice for her…my tears are strictly for me. Shannon, my heart breaks for you and with you. Sending my love to you…
Kristen…James…Madison and Reagan. Y’all are in my prayers. Sending my love and my most sincerest condolences. RIest easy Judy til we meet again! I love you

I will always love my mom and forever miss her until we reunite in heaven. My mother was the sweetest lovingest human being in the world.
