Richard “Ricky” Callaway Mason, 61, of Royston GA, passed away March 8, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was the oldest son of the late Richard David Mason and Reba Grace Moss Mason.

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Erica) Scarborough of Canon, GA; Daughter, Alyssa (Cruz) Mason of Las Vegas, NV; Brother, Robby (Lisa) Mason of Sturgeon Lake MN; Sisters, Krystal (Bill) Bailey of Sturgeon Lake, MN and Amanda Dickerson Sexton of Royston, GA; Grandchildren, Ethan & Emersyn Scarborough; and several nieces and nephews.

Ricky was a musician, having played with several bands. He was a member of Canon Church of God, where he played his guitar as often as he could.

A memorial service for Ricky will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2 pm at Daniesville Evangelical Church, 25 Evangelical Church Rd, Danielsville, GA 30633. His nephew, Pastor Dwayne Dickerson, officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held an hour prior to the service at 1pm.
