Robert John Garvey

Bob was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and later lived in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He lived at The Landings in his dream home after retirement for 23 years. He worked for many years in the sheet metal industry and was member of Local 19 in Philadelphia for over fifty years. Bob was Project Manager for Hershman Sheet Metal and later SSM Industries of Philadelphia. He was an avid golfer and was a frequent sight at casinos in Biloxi, Atlantic City, and Vegas. Bob also enjoyed home renovation projects and working in the yard. Bob could often be seen with his beloved dachshund Abby, she enjoyed their walks and digging while Bob did yard work. Bob loved his wife and children, and enjoyed his many friends.

Bob is preceded by his (Father) John T. Garvey, (Mother) Sophie Garvey, (Sister) Dolores Conley.
Bob is survived by his wife Sheila A. Garvey, son Robert Thomas Garvey, daughter Meghan Lynn Garvey, niece Carrie (Jim) Benedetti and nephew James (Nicole) Conley of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice Savannah, Diabetes Foundation, and the Humane Society of Savannah.
