Robert Peter Luljak, age 89, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away on
October 5th, 2024. He was born on April 14th, 1935, in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Robert was a devoted husband to Marlene Ann (Krusick) Luljak and a loving father to his five children.
Shortly after graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Engineering,
Robert started his career with Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Robert and Marlene
were married in Milwaukee in February of 1959 and they spent their honeymoon
driving his 1957 Chevy to Seattle. While living in Seattle, Robert was a member of
the National Guard and fulfilled his military duty. He would find himself
continuing his career with several other aviation companies and spending the
remaining years of his career with Delco, a division of General Motors. Once
retired, Robert and Marlene moved to Hilton Head Island, a place they had visited
many times before and grew to love. There, Robert enjoyed year-round golfing,
walks on the beach with Marlene, and discovering new restaurants with friends. It was his idea of
“paradise”. To keep busy in retirement, Robert held positions as a boat captain on
the Daufuskie Island Ferry and as a starter at Oyster Reef golf course.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Peter Luljak and Emily (Petzko) Luljak.
Robert is survived by his wife Marlene and children Lee Ann Luljak-Fair (Daniel -deceased), Susan Brandt (Kevin), Sherri McDaniel (Jim), Robert Luljak (Heather), and Terri Luljak; grandchildren David Fair, Alicen Fair Arnold, Patrick Brandt, Peter Fair, Theodore Luljak, Natalie McDaniel, Abigail Luljak, and Robert Luljak; sisters Barbara
Jamel, Carol Puetz (Robert), and Mary Luljak, and many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held in Wisconsin in August 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Bob was my best friend. All through grade school and through high school we did everything together. If we were brothers, we would’ve been twins.
When I got married, Bob was my best man.
As I write this, there are tears in my eyes.
I love you Bob, see you later.
Your friend forever,
Bob Janicek
