Ronnie was a loving husband to Kathy, whom he met when he was 15 years old. A proud father to his daughters – Rhonda, Shelby, and Hope and a doting poppy to grandchildren Reagan and Conner.
After surviving lung and brain cancer 8 years ago, his health continued to decline. Sadly, he passed away in the early morning hours July 18, 2023 at Candler Hospital.
Anyone who knew him, instantly loved him. He loved life, his Chevy truck, being a “girl” dad, family cruises, and making jokes.
He was hard headed and did things on “Ronnie’s” time. His death was no different. And despite multiple losses and hospitalizations over the last several months, he fought tirelessly until the end.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his Mother and Father: Willie Ruth and Jewel Ingram, Brothers: Billy and Ricky Ruth and Sister: Jan Stone
We wish to extend our appreciation to Candler PCU Nursing Staff for caring for him during his multiple hospitalizations, the ER nurses, who showed compassion in the end, and Pruitt Hospice for allowing us the opportunity to care for him at home.
The family will hold a burial at sea at a later date to honor his love of cruises and being on the water.

Kathy, aka”Larry “. You mentioned here that Ronnie Ruth was hard headed and did everything in Ronnie’s time. Well that he did! He was methodical in every way. The Love of his family never wavered! If it wasn’t broken, don’t fix it! He was a dear friend and Brother-In-Law to me and I will always remember the great times we had. From the sales counter at Capital Materials to the Bar Stools at the Jump & Run so many years ago all the stories and jokes. Then when he accepted me as part of the family. He then became the Brother that I loved. My Thoughts and Prayers are with You and All of the Family.
