It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald John Murray Sr., who peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 63.
Ronald was a longtime Montgomery resident. As a child he enjoyed being a boy scout. He grew up to be an avid fisherman, hunter, and shrimper. He looked forward to waking up early to go fishing and would be gone all day long. He often enjoyed spending the evening playing his guitar.
Ronald worked as a carpenter for many years prior to retiring.
He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Marjorie Anne Love Murray; and his beloved wife, Tammie Yvette Murray.
He is survived by his children Ronald Murray Jr., and Lisa Murray; two brothers, Lester Murray (Darlene), Stacey Murray (Sandra); his grandson and his granddaughter; many nieces; and several extended family members.
Ronald was a great friend to many people. He will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the Montgomery Athletic Club, 10155 Ferguson Avenue, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
Family will host a gathering directly after the service.
