Ruth Ann Groce-Roberts, age 84, of Garden City passed away Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Ridgeland, South Carolina, she was the daughter of George W. and Margaret Woods.
Ruth Ann was the co-owner of Barkley’s Florist, a long-time member of the Port Wentworth Alliance Church and a member of the Garden City Senior Citizens’ Center.
Preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Garland E. Groce; sisters, Betty Thompson, Ruby Black & Loretta Richwine; & daughter-in-law Robyn Groce, she is survived by her husband Troy Roberts; children, George Groce (Liesa), Glenda Harper (Wilton), Jimmy Groce (Kathy), Wanda Felton (R.L.) and Troy’s children and grandchildren; her sister, Ann Williams (Brooks); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, May 25th, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Port Wentworth Alliance Church. Funeral Services: Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 11 AM from the church with Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Port Wentworth Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.

I only met Miss Ruth a few times but she welcomed me into her home as family! Her Sunday dinners were always like Thanksgiving Day! She was a smile & hug & a ” Hello, Sugar, come on in!” She was an Angel on Earth! She will truly be missed! ????????????
