On May 8th, 2014 Stephen Randall Russell, “Steve”, passed away on his 43rd birthday at Hospice House in Savannah, Georgia. He was born in Alabama but lived most of his life in Garden City, Georgia. He also finished his high school years in Waynesville, North Carolina. He is the beloved son of Geraldine Rowland and David Russell and the beloved stepson of Carolyn Russell and Douglas Rowland. He was loved dearly by his two sisters, Wendy Kelly and Kimberly Lopez, and his brother Timothy Russell.
In lieu of flowers a college savings account has been set up for benefit of Blayn M. Silver (Steve’s 8 yr. old son) at First Effingham Bank at 5671 GA Highway 21 S, Rincon, GA 31326. Other options would be Hospice Savannah, 1352 Eisenhower Drive or colon cancer research.
Steve loved horses and was a gentle horse breaker and trainer. He was a friend to everyone he met and a hard worker. We miss you and love you Steve!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sound Spirit Ranch, 3528 Blue Jay Road, Guyton ( between Midland and Ga17) on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11AM. Open to all.
