Teresa Walker Blankenship, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born in Tifton, Ga on October 17 th , 1952. She was the daughter of Edgar Walker and Dona Harbin.
Teresa moved to Savannah after high school and began a career in the Credit Union industry where she retired as Branch Manager at Geo Vista Credit Union.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of the Islands where she was a devoted member of the choir. She participated in 14 church missionary trips to the Philippines helping to bring the Gospel, love, and aid to the residents.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jim Harbin and Raiford Walker.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Sammy Blankenship, daughter Jennifer Hagan (Matthew), son Chris White, as well as grandchildren Carson Hagan, Jack Hagan, May White and Talmadge White. Also, several nephews and one niece.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sunabella Memory Care and GA Hospice for the excellent, loving care given to Teresa during her illness.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
