
Thomas Broadnax Jr. was born in Savannah, Georgia, to Martha Edwards Broadnax and Thomas Broadnax Sr. He was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School in 1970. A standout athlete, Thomas was selected to the All-City Team for his exceptional skills in football.His athletic accomplishments later earned him induction into the Beach High School Football Hall of Fame. He continued his studies at Florida A&M University.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Thomas Broadnax III; his brother, Ronald Broadnax; and his aunt, Eula Mae Sherman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deyanira Broadnax; his sons, Duane Broadnax and Brian Broadnax Anderson; his brother, Anthony Broadnax (Wanda); his sister, Lucille Broadnax; his aunts, Linda (Claude) Lyons, Earnestine Broadnax, his uncle Larry Broadnax, his beloved cat, Kitty; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins who will forever cherish his memory.
