Tommy Womack, age 79, Passed away 04/14/2025.
A native of Oxford GA. He was the son of Tommy and Florine Womack. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, with service in Vietnam. After his military service, Tommy built a career as an Engineer with Southern Railway, where he worked faithfully for many years.
A graduate of Newton County High School, Tommy lived a life marked by dedication, humility, and quiet strength. He was a man who deeply enjoyed the simple joys of life—playing golf, spending time with his cherished cats and dogs, and sharing moments with family and friends. A man of faith, Tommy was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Water Oak Baptist Church in Conyers.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Florine and Tommy Womack; son Todd Womack; sisters Florine Womack, and Nancy Smith; brother Jim Womack.
Survivors include Son Jeff (Laurie) Womack of Savannah, GA; Sisters Mary Yates, of Oxford, GA, Faustine Payne of McDonough GA; Five grandchildren Britney, Matthew, Robin, Ethan and Jacob; A few great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 at Water Oak Baptist Church, 1990 Carr Road, in Conyers.
