Tyrone E. Legree, Sr was preceded in death by his only son, the late, Tyrone E. Legree Jr., brother, the late, James Harold Beasley, sister, the late, Gloria Jean Spencer Watkins, sister, the late, Willie Pearl Legree Mungin and brother, the late, Zebedee Legree.
Tyrone E. Legree, Sr completed his education within the Chatham County School System, graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School and ultimately attended Savannah State College.
Tyrone E. Legree, Sr begin his military career in Fort Jackson Military Base in Columbia, South Carolina, on April 30. 1970. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army. He served in combat during the Vietnam War and his resilience was shown by his survival of the aforementioned.
In 1973, Tyrone E. Legree, Sr ended his military career honorable as a Corporal. His decorations, badges, medals, commendations, citations, and campaign ribbons awarded and authorized are as follows: National Defense Service Medal, Expert Rifle, Vietnam Service Medal with The Bronze Service Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Tyrone E. Legree, Sr., leaves to mourn the following siblings: Mary Lee Spencer Boggs, Savannah, Georgia, Ronald Rudolf Legree, Sr., Savannah, Georgia; Sharon Elaine Legree, Americus, Georgia. A host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
