
Virginia “Ginger” Waldrop, 72, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025.
Virginia was the daughter of William “Bill” and Jimmie Waldrop.
Virginia was preceded in death by, husband Thomas Barnes; parents, William and Jimmie Waldrop; uncle Taz Harden.
She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend, with a deep passion for life. Ginger had a special love for the beach, often found soaking up the sun and enjoying the beauty of the ocean. Her warm spirit and love for entertaining brought joy to many, and she cherished spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sister, Jeralyn Waldrop Wilson, brother-in-law, Richard Wilson. Ginger also leaves behind her niece, Krista Futch; nephew, Kevin Wilson; great nieces and nephews, Harper and J.R. Futch; aunt, Linda De Young; and cousin, Jeana Cobb.
A private service will be held at a later date. Ginger’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
