William M. Giles, III, age 61, of Richmond Hill passed away Friday, March 24th, 2017 at Candler Hospital.

A native of Savannah, he moved with his family to several places before returning to Savannah in 1996. William was employed with Electrical Solutions of Savannah.

Preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ivy Giles, he is survived by his son Will Giles of Arizona; his step-daughter Laura Ivy of Hawaii; his mother, Marese Newsome Giles and father, William M. Giles, Jr.; two brothers, Kenny Giles (Jodi) and Randy Giles (Cissy); granddaughter, Summer Ivy; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31st, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the graveside at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, East, 1600 Wheaton Street in Savannah. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

It is with great sadness that I send my condolences to the family of Billy Giles. Billy was a very special and bright part the days that I have spent in Savannah. He was always there with a kind word and a soft heart. I will miss him terribly on future visits. My heartfelt sympathy is with with you all. So very sorry for your loss. I grew up on the Savannah Sugar Refinery with Billy, Randy, and Kenny. The company store and the Giles boys will forever be part of my childhood memories. May Billy rest in peace……One of the New girls.
