On October 22, 2022, Clinton Jessop Boram Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 83 after a day of tearful goodbyes from his beloved family.

Preceding him in death were his parents Clinton Jessop Boram Sr and Viola Amelia Boram (Matzen). He is survived by his wife Dana Hammond Boram, sister Lynette Viola Touchtone, and children Clinton Jessop Boram III and wife Teresa (Terry), daughter Lorraine Carolyn Fabiszak and son Andrew Grady Boram. Clint was blessed with six grandchildren, Clinton Boram IV, Valerie Clisby (Fabiszak), Sarah Fabiszak, Mary Jo Fabiszak, Andrew Boram Jr., and Reese Boram-Knowles, and four great-grandchildren Nolan Clisby, Nathaniel Clisby, Lydia Van Devander, and Aubrey Mosley. He was formerly married to Carolyn Lacy Oliver, the mother of his children, and Ginny Patterson.

Clint was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and worked most of his career at AAl Corporation in Hunt Valley, Maryland working on many projects that set the groundwork for the space shuttle and the Alaskan pipeline, just to name a few. He branched into teaching computer systems before giving up the corporate world for a simpler life.

He had a passion for traditional wooden boats that began on the Chesapeake Bay sailing with his family. When he moved to Tybee Island, Georgia in 1996 to be with his love Dana and began working jobs around boat yards. When boat labor became too taxing for his back Clint studied Savannah history and became a carriage tour guide. His favorite tours were the ghost tours, telling stories about the many spirits that make Savannah their home.

Clint believed in giving back to the community. He began “squirreling” at the volunteer fire departments in Maryland then took his skills to the Tybee Island Fire Department Emergency Squad where he retired as a Lieutenant. But you couldn’t keep Clint off the water. For five years, he was a Skipper for The Dolphin Proiect which was dedicated to the welfare and protection of dolphins worldwide.

When he wasn’t working or volunteering, Clint worked in his woodshop making toys and cradles for his grandchildren. He could also be found out on the beach flying his homemade kites. He and Dana has several boats over the years from skiffs to larger sailboats. His passion for the water never wavered and was proud that his son carries on that passion.

A private service will be held in his honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Tybee Island Fire Department for the purchase of a motorized stair chair. Donations should be made out to the City of Tybee Island and sent to :
