Dennis Ray Duncan, Sr.

Dennis Ray Duncan, Sr., age 67, of Port Wentworth passed away Friday, March 13th, 2015  at Hospice Savannah . He was born on November 29, 1947 in St. Charles, Virginia.

 
Dennis was a true hero, serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, from 1969 to 1975. He was the recipient of many medals and commendations, among them the Bronze Star with Valor for Heroism.
 
Preceded in death by his father Charles Henry Duncan, his mother, Hannah Duncan, a brother Larry Eugene Duncan, daughter, Denise Rena Duncan, and a nephew Charles Wayne Duncan, Jr. (Bubby) and is survived by his wife, Jane Davis Duncan of Port Wentworth; one sister, Henrietta Arlene Brock; two brothers, Stanley Leon Duncan (Pam) of Sevierville, Tennessee and Charles Wayne Duncan (Melinda) of Leesburg, Ohio; his son, Dennis Ray Duncan, Jr. (Jillian) of Lebanon, Ohio and daughterDawn Rebecca Wolf (Brian) of Lebanon, Ohio; two stepsons, Reginald Allen Cavinder and Ryan Lee Davis; and nine grandchildren.
 
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses. Any contributions received above funeral expenses will be donated to Hospice Savannah in Memoriam for Dennis.
