John Phillip Scott Sr, 84, of Savannah, GA, passed away on Monday October 10, 2022 at 4:25pm.

He was born on October 5, 1938 to Mattie Lee Hilton (mother) Richard Scott (father) in Girard, Georgia.
John Phillip Scott graduated from Beach High School. After high school, John moved on by opening his
own convenience store and janitorial service where he retired.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Coleman, and grandson, John Phillip Scott lll.

John Phillip Scott Sr. is survived by his wife, Estella L. Scott, of Savannah, GA; 2 sons, John Phillip Scott Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Thomas Scott of Jacksonville, FL; 1 granddaughter, Alexus B. Scott of Alpharetta, GA; 2 great-grandkids, Jontay (great grandson) of Savannah, GA and Sania (great-granddaughter) of Pooler, GA. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Families First Funeral Care before processing to Oak Grove Cemetery on Skidaway Road for a graveside service.

Stella, I am so sorry to hear about John. I have a lot of fond memories of him bringing his “wet” and “dry” peanuts to the office each week during peanut season. He always had a Blessing for all of us at Savannah Steel Scaffold. His smile and positive attitude were contagious. Know that my prayers are with you as you go thru this difficult transition to life without John.
