On January 24, 2024 Captain John Adam Schmidt (Ret) US Army, 35 years old, was called home to our Lord Jesus Christ. John was a resident of Savannah, Georgia. He was born June 12, 1988 in Denver, Colorado.
John was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, New York. He attended Fordham University of New York City. He was also a graduate of West Point Military Academy. John was also the owner/CEO of Highland Point Consulting, of Knoxville, Tennessee. .
John is survived by his parents Richard and Susan Homewood and his loving family members: Angela Schmidt, Brooklyn Schmidt, Maverick Witbeck, Lyric Witbeck, Kingston Witbeck, August Riley Homewood, John and Beverly Spencer, Patti and Dale Roberts, Tim and Katy Spencer, Dawn James, Grace Weiczorek.
There will be a private service In Memory of John.
The family is requesting donations to made to Tunnel of Towers.

I met John at the USMA Prep. We shared many laughs – thank you for making some difficult times more manageable and enjoyable.

I was so very sorry to learn of John’s death. I remember him with great fondness. May he rest in eternal peace. He will truly missed and forever loved.
