Kathryn Leona McMillan Forrest, 61, of Guyton, passed away on March 3, 2016 after battling multiple long term illnesses.

She was born on July 24, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert H. McMillan and Rhonda Elene Hall McMillan. She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Ribault Senior High School.

Kathy loved reading and had a great love of books, even as a small child. She loved to both prepare and eat Southern food. She loved socializing and was a wonderful friend. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed.

Kathy is survived by her son, William Palmer, her daughters, Staci and Katie Wiggins, two granddaughters, Stacia and Alexandria, her sister, Rhonda Sparks, her brother, Daniel McMillan and sister-in-law Brenda McMillan, her niece, Joy Pozo, her nephew, James Sparks, her niece and nephew-in-law Traci and Jay Armstrong, grand-nieces Destiny and Anna Armstrong and grand-nephew Peter Pozo.

Graveside Services will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in Westside Memorial Gardens on Adams Road in Bloomingdale.

Our friendship and loss of it cannot be put into words. Always there for me- without judgement or ridicule; I could always count on Kat’s comebacks 🙂 The world has lost a wonderful woman. My condolences to the family <3 I will miss you Kat, there will never be another you. <3
