Lehman Christopher Waters, age 60, of Garden City, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019, at residence.
Born in Savannah, he was the son of Lehman Lee Waters and Rose Marie Waters. He tried several careers in life but his love was painting and was a professional painter for 37 years. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, camping, and painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving is his wife, Karen G. Waters of Garden City, his sons, Jesse Thomas (Lacie) of Jesup, and Matthew Thomas of Hinesville, his two grandchildren, Alivia and Blaiden Thomas of Jesup, his sister, Crystal Dixon (Mike) of Colorado and a number of other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 12 pm to 1 pm at Families First Funeral Care. A memorial service will begin at 1 pm in the Families First Chapel. A reception will follow at Miss Sophie’s located at the Mighty Eight Air Force Museum.

Prayers for all his family and friends. Chris aka Lurch was a great guy through our school years.
Rest in Peace Chris. Thank you for the memories of growing up in Woodlawn, playing music together and all the family times together.
Chris was a great friend lucky to have known him he could always make you laugh. May God bless you and your family during this time.
Have not seen Chris in years. I went to school with him, but moved away after high school. Would see him every now and then when in town. I remember Chris as being a one of a kind, great guy. My condolences to the family.

OMG! This is Jenny, a voice from Chris’s past. It’s January 2021 and I just found out he’s gone. Karen, I’m so sorry! I will love Chris always!
