Leon M Hobbs III, 67, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 and was surrounded by his family during his final moments. He fought a long hard battle with cancer and it finally took its toll.

Leon was love by many, he was a great father, brother, husband and friend. His passion for the guitar was unmatched, which led him to play with a great group of guys, Call the Cops. Occasionally you could find Leon doing special appearances with local band Liquid Ginger. He truly enjoyed playing guitar and loved each opportunity to be on stage.

Leon is survived by his loving wife June Hobbs, his sons Joseph Hobbs and Leon Hobbs IV, and daughters Stephanie Watkins and Brittany Hobbs. He has 2 sisters Lynn Davis and Kendall Adams, and one brother Jimmy “the bear” Hobbs!

So sorry to hear of Lee’s passing.
I remember Lee at seventeen when I first started at White, Hobbs, and McClellan.
Later when he graduated from college we worked together at the firm.
Lee was always such a nice guy to be around. He always had a smile for everyone.
Rest easy my friend!

William Parnell

I just learned of my Benedictine classmate’s passing. My condolences to Lee’s family. He was a fine man and a great father. Regretably, we grew apart when I moved from Savannah in 1995. May he rest in peace.
