Posted By Families Firstcare On July 28, 2023 @ 7:24 am In Obituaries,Uncategorized | 23 Comments

Leyver Suchiapa Ruiz, 32, entered his eternal resting place on July 26, 2023, with his family by his side.

Leyver was born in Tuxtla, Gutiérrez Chiapas, Mexico, on April 26, 1991, and graduated from middle school in July of 2005 shortly before moving to Savannah, Georgia in 2006.

7 years later, he met the love of his life, Hildeliza Cruz Martínez in July of 2013.

By March 2015, they had moved in together and embraced a new phase in their lives as parents, when on February 14, 2016, their first son, Leyver Valentín Suchiapa Cruz, was born.

3 years later, their family would get bigger when they gave birth to their second son, Christopher Suchiapa Cruz, on February 14, 2019.

Leyver considered it the most beautiful miracle and blessing God could have given him, by having both sons born on Valentines Day.

Leyver started doing landscaping at the early age of 15 but quickly became self-employed by 2011.

In 2012 he met Gary Gordon, who immediately recognized Leyver’s work ethic and potential. Leyver became an essential part of the 520 Wings restaurant and their relationship transformed from business partners to brothers.

Not only did Leyver teach himself to speak English, but also accomplished many other dreams while in the United States.

Leyver inspired, challenged, and trusted Gary so much, that he gave him the honor of becoming the Godfather to Christopher.

Layver was not only a hard and dedicated worker, but most importantly, he was a very loving and passionate man when it came to his family.

During his final days, Leyver would spend all his time and energy with his children.

He is survived by his father, José Armando Suchiapa Simuta; his wife, Hildeliza Cruz Martínez; two children, Leyver Valentin Suchiapa Cruz and Christopher Suchiapa Cruz; three brothers, Romario Suchiapa Ruiz, Wilberth Suchiapa Flores, and Osvaldo Suchiapa Flores; his best friend, who was with him until the last day of his life, Gary Gordon, as well as cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 5, 2023, at Family First Chapel at 1328 Dean Forest Road Savannah Georgia 31405

Dear Eldeliza, Valentin and Christopher,

I am sorry very sorry for your loss, Leyver was such a wonderful man, his smile and laugh were unforgettable. I always looked forward to seeing him and especially when I would call him to replace my side yard (more than once) because my dog, Sadie Mae, would totally destroy the grass! We always had such a good laugh about that, I will truly miss Leyver, but I know without a single doubt that he has gone to Heaven where I am sure he is in charge of ALL the landscape. I pray that God Bless you all and give you His Peace and Comfort.

Dear Leyver aka Amigo

It is with a heavy heart that I write this, still struggling to accept the reality of your sudden departure.

You were a rare gem in a world that sometimes seemed too harsh. Your wisdom was profound, and your generosity knew no bounds. You had an exceptional ability to make everyone feel comfortable and appreciated.

Your loss has left a void that can never be filled. We shared countless memories, laughter, tears, dreams, and secrets. You were not just a friend, but a guiding light, a confidante, and a pillar of strength.

You taught me the true meaning of friendship, of selflessness, and of living life to its fullest. Your spirit, your zest for life, your courage will continue to inspire me and many others whom you touched in your short but impactful journey on this earth.

Even though you are gone, you will forever live in our hearts. The pain of your loss is immense, but the joy of having known you is greater.

Rest in peace, dear friend. Your memory will continue to shine brightly in our lives.

With deepest sympathy,

Gary Gordon/520 Wings

Layver, what a wonderful man. Always dependable with a smile on his face. He was one of the few contractors who would promptly return a call or text and then stop by no matter how busy he was. He almost always included someone from his family in our conversations. He will be missed

Dear Ruiz Family
We were so sad to hear about Leyver . We did not realize how sudden this was as I had just texted him recently and as usual he was so upbeat. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Leyver was so proud of his beautiful family. Always so professional, checking to make sure his hard working crew was doing a good job and that we were happy with their work.
May God in his great mercy grant you peace, love and comfort .

Condolence from CARSWELL FAMILY on August 5th, 2023 11:28 am

With heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the Ruiz family,

Because of Leyver we get compliments every week as the best looking yard in the neighborhood. He did a total re-sod and tranformation of our entire yard. Not only was Leyver amazing at his craft, but he was even more of an amazing person. I’m fortunate to forever have a part of his work to look at everytime I walk out my door. Thank you Leyver and thank you family for sharing his gifts with us!

Dear Ruiz family,
We’ve known Leyver for 3 years and he has been nothing but kind to our entire family. His work ethic was remarkable and and I always enjoyed seeing his smile when he came to our home. He loves his family and spoke of his boys often. Occasionally, he would bring his son and our two sons would play together in the backyard. He was a wonderful Father. We are praying for you and for strength in the months ahead. I hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories with such a wonderful man.

Condolence from Himalay Torres on August 7th, 2023 6:44 pm
