Mary Ann Shearouse

Mary Ann “B-Mama” Shearouse, age 84, of Garden City, passed away Friday at Effingham Health System. A native of Chatham County, Mrs. Shearouse was a secretary for the 165th Air National Guard for 30 years, and was a long-time member of the Garden City Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary McCowan and her husband of 55 years, Herbert Shearouse, Jr.
Surviving are her two sons, Herbert B. Shearouse, III of Garden City and Guy Shearouse (Carol),of Clyo; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, step-sister, Donna Creech and a number of friends.
A memorial service will be held, Monday, May 18, 2015, 11:00 am at Garden City Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service.
In Lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Garden City Primitive Baptist Church.
