Mary Knight Suchower, 86, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Hospice Savannah. She was born and raised in Savannah, attended Savannah High School and Armstrong State College (music and art). She was the enthusiastic leading coordinator and organizer of the first highly successful SHS ‘49 Class 25th Anniversary Formal Reunion Gala. During her lifetime she worked as a professional secretary for several entities – for CEO of Kaiser Chemical, for English and Language Dept. Staff at ASC, for Principal Staff at SHS.

She was extraordinarily proficient in practically all arts, crafts and music, to which she dearly loved to devote her attention without ever missing opportunities to fulfill self-committed motherly and/or spousal obligations.

She was predeceased by her parents Jessie Kennedy and George W, Knight, her youngest daughter Laura Ryles Morrison, her grandson Tommy Palmer, her brother-in-law Ted Saunders.

She leaves behind her husband John Suchower, her daughters Sheila (Don) Ford and Susan (Billy) Lingenfelser, her son Tommy Ryles, her sister Peggy Saunders, her court-awarded great granddaughter Autumn Lynn, her many relations and friends: step-children, great and step-great children, great-great and step-great great children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her cremated remains will be buried near her father in Bonaventure Cemetery at a later date to be announced. A memorial service at St. Anne Catholic Church, Richmond Hill, GA, will be held on Saturday, July 16, 11:00am.

Our prayers go out to the Suchower Family. Mr. Suchower you have always been an inspiration to all of us.
Life is more that skin, blood and bones. It is also Spirit and that Spirit lives on in Heaven. Mary is living on now in Heaven.
Losing a wife is tramatic. I’ve
Gone through it twice. But God has helped me with the pain along with my family. Jesus conquered death. Love you. Coach.
