Michael L. Martin

Posted By Families Firstcare On December 16, 2022 @ 1:07 pm In Obituaries | 6 Comments

Michael Lynn Martin finished his race and returned home to his Creator at High~Noon on December 15, 2022. Born in Orlando, FL on December 5, 1956 as the youngest of five children to Thomas and Carrie Martin, he called Savannah, GA home since he was four.

A 1974 graduate of Savannah High, he continued his youthful love of baseball and football throughout his life, retiring from Georgia Regional Hospital after 27 years.

Aside from legendary joke telling and all-around charm, he also shared a wholeheartedly fulfilling life with the Absolute Love of His Life, Christine, raised some, dare-I-say, awesome daughters, Khristina and Marie, or Princess and Boo, and was the Papa Bear to some of the most epic grandkids: Nyaomei, Olivia, Isabella, Londyn, Michael, Kinley, and Layton.

As Daddy would say to Me the way I hear it: “You’ll never choose the path you have in life but you can sure as hell change the way you walk, run, or even limp it.”

All the Kisses on the Jaw, Ya Stupid Ol Goat ~M/Boo

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Families First Funeral Care.

Condolence from George& Lori Klinedinst on December 20th, 2022 9:37 am

Christine, I’m so sorry for your lose, and there is nothing anyone can say to take the pain away.
You shared many happy years together and just knowing there will be many more to come with Mike
by your side helps us all to smile. Mike will forever be my best friend, my rock and my uncle whom I’d like
to call my brother. growing up we did everything together. I will miss those times.
God has other plans for all of us, tho not easy this was his plan for Mike . He’s in Heaven now watching over
all of us. No more suffering or pain, he is with us all.
We love you and you know George and I are always here for you. This has taken a toll on George he loved and
respected Mike and will do anything for you.
We love you, George and Lori

Condolence from Lori DeWitt Hecker on February 26th, 2023 6:25 pm

Oddly I was thinking of Mike and tried to “google” him around this time. With his name I came up with nothing. I feel sure this is Mike who I went to Jacob G Smith with and his cousin Lori B. He was a sweet guy and a he and my brother played JC football together at Daffin park. RIP Mike… you are not forgotten.
