Condolence from Kristin patrick on November 4th, 2023 9:29 pm

Richard meant so much to not only me, my mother, and my sister, by my daughter. She loved him so much. She looked so forward to seeing him. He had done so much for her and I that I wish I had the chance to tell him how much I appreciated everything he has done for us and a final goodbye. You will be very missed by us. We love you always.

I’ve been placing bets with Mr. Kelso for over 10 year, met him when I worked at Steamers. I have kept in touch with him every few months. Last spoke in Sept talking about football, he let me know he was in the hospital but would be okay. Praying for the family. I was praying this wasnt the outcome.

Condolence from Joanne Mardesich on February 11th, 2024 11:49 pm

Dear Julie, Susan, and Peter,
For some reason, I had a sudden thought about your father this evening and decided to look him up in Richmond Hills. I was so saddened to read his obituary and then spent time remembering the profound relationship your mother, father, my husband Nick and I had throughout their time in California. I especially loved your mother Joanne and she and I had a great and happy time sharing you children. Do you all remember your time in Rancho Palos Verdes? Your family would stay with us when you came back to visit California and we would have a great time visiting Disneyland and anything else we fond that looked exciting.
While you all lived here, your Mom, Dad, Nick and I saw every play, good restaurant and movie we could find and greatly enjoyed our time together. I will always miss them and our great friendship.
If you have any questions about your early life here, I would be happy to travel memory lane with you. My phone is 310-740-7417 and e-mail is [email protected].
With fond memories I remain,
Joanne Mardesich

Condolence from Rod Lorimer on December 29th, 2023 5:54 pm

I knew Dick for over 50 years, having met him in CA when we both worked for P&G in Long Beach CA . We sailed together, we golfed together, we dined together, we traveled together and we would meet whenever possible. The last time was two years ago when my wife and I were cruising on the Intercoastal Waterway and we were able to have dinner with him ( he had an uncanny sense for the best restaurants! ). He was always a delight to be with and his stimulating conversation was always memorable! And I looked forward to the tales of his family in his detailed holiday greeting cards. May the the void he leaves be filled with many good memories.
